Gwenton is here!

(Gwenton = Spring in Cornish)

Happy March everyone! Evenings are starting to get a big lighter and the abundance of daffodils and lambs around the Cornish countryside are a sign that Spring is on its way.

Spring is the time of year when we start to go out for longer walks, not just the brisk stroll in single digit temperatures to get a glimpse of fresh air, yay! Here are some places in Cornwall we've been enjoying this month:

Chapel Porth

This cute cove is the perfect place for a Spring stroll. When there's a super low Spring tide you can walk all the way to Porthtowan along the beach! Then back to Chapel Porth along the cliff for a hot choc at the little café. It's a National Trust car park so if you're a member you get free parking- just don't forget to scan your card.

Hayle Beach

Hayle beach is ideal in the Spring when it's getting warmer but there's still a crisp breeze. Its beautiful views of St Ives Bay and the fun sand dunes to run down make it the perfect family beach. There's even a fun wildlife activity made by Haven holiday park for the kids and a pub with stunning views for the adults!

Things to Look Forward To

It's only 16 days until the Spring Equinox which means it's only 23 days until the clocks go forward! I don't know about you but I can't wait for long evenings and BBQs on the beach (don't forget to take your litter home with you though)

Mothers' Day is also coming up- if you plan on celebrating- here are some gift ideas for under £10.
